The story behind the book “Kidnapped from God”
In December of 2012, we met a friend who showed us his collection of first edition Bibles and other old, rare, early edition Bibles. One of the most important things that struck us, my wife and I, was that in some of these 1500s and 1600s Bibles was the Name of our Creator. My wife’s question to me was, “How is it then that most Christians today do not know His Name?” It was a simple question, but the answer to that took the entire 15 hour drive back home from Georgia.
This book started from that trip and there have been many starts and stops, iterations and titles. But it was only in October of 2019 that we had its purpose and focus revealed to us when one day, out of the blue, in the middle of some accounting work, the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) gave us the title for this book, “Kidnapped from God.” Then for 3 months He revealed to us, step by step, the topics to be discussed, showed us some pages during prayer time and got us researching on things literally in the middle of doing something else. When we hit massive amounts of information, He would draw our eyes to what He wanted us to include in what we now privately call “His book.” It was only later that He gave us the subtitle, “The Call to Come Home” and we had the vision we needed to complete the book. Had we not gone through this process, we may never have believed that such a thing was possible. We know that those of you who hear from the Ruach understand what we are talking about.
Jaye and I worked on it as fast as we could to have a limited number of copies printed in South Africa for a Leadership Conference I was also speaking in March of 2020. Right after the conference ended, Covid19 hit and we had to return home sooner than we expected. We used the last few months to include additional chapters He inspired in us and further edit the book and to prepare it for Amazon publishing.
We are so happy and grateful for your interest in this book. Please be sure to leave a review with Amazon.
Shalom and Blessings,
Andrew
